Being inVisible

Being inVisible

Being invisible has often been a complaint I’ve heard of growing older. And to be honest, I’ve already felt that way a time or two, but I think the beauty of the time in which we currently live is that we don’t have to fade away. Maybe it’s the sheer number of the baby boomers that are keeping us more in the forefront than our parent’s generation, or even our grandparents, or maybe it’s ladies with Not Yet Dead Style or  ADVANCED STYLE, who are turning the spotlight more in our direction. Whatever it is, let’s each do our part and wear what we want, how we want, as long as we want and say, We Are Here!

Patti, over at Not Dead Yet Style, has a Visible Monday post each week, so this week I’m joining in. Here’s a picture of me sporting my Kuhl wool coat, my favorite, wear with everything, Frye boots and my eclectic leather bag. I am not one for traditional purses, so when I found this one, I fell in love.

I also love this purse my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas!

And because I love the great outdoors more than anything, I also wrote a post a few months back on my outdoor style just for fun.

    • Thanks, Patti! I apologize though, I just realized I spelled your name with a ‘y’ on the post. Fixing right now! Au revoir!

  2. Oh, hello Jane! Wonderful to meet you. RAging … what a perfect homonym for all of us Boomers that frequent Patti’s VisMon! You represent very well here, looking fresh and cozy against what looks like a chilly wind. Love an exotic/interesting/unique bag a lot myself. Such an easy way to express an idea when the rest of you is bundled up in classically unadorned outerwear.
Hope to see more of you and hear what you’ve got to say in futures weeks.
