Are you aiming for 100? 90? 80? Of course none of us knows how long we will live, but we can take control of how we live as we age and instead of blaming our “genes” for every physical problem, we can choose to help them express themselves in a positive manner. To teach your genes some manners, and not let them break your heart or sugar you up, offer them lots of healthy food, the kind without manufactured, processed gunk, included on the label. Then physically wear those little genes out by exercising them so much they are too exhausted to become devious little bastards, wrecking havoc on all your systems. Genes can be tamed into mild mannered house guests who help everything move along in a smooth manner. 100% guarantee? Nope, but your chances are far better than relying on anything else.
As a Certified Integrative Health Coach, I know the challenge of changing your lifestyle, but if you want to live, and I mean LIVE, until you die, eating healthy and staying active are the two activities, that if done consistently and with dedication, will make the difference in the long run.
Simplistic? Why yes? But pharmaceutical drugs and doctors are not going to help you to live healthy until you die. Prolong misery? yes, but live? not so much! It’s up to you to wear your genes well!!
